Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is both an ancient & contemporary system of health care that has the ability to continually develop as regards illness & disease. It has been used in China for over 3000 years. In its country of origin it is not an alternative form of therapy, but is used in state hospitals alongside Western medicine. It includes the therapies of Chinese Herbal Medicine & Acupuncture.

The community ear acupuncture sessions will run 2:30-3:30pm and 4:00-5:00pm on Wednesdays.
Each £10 session will have a maximum of 8 people in the group, and will last an hour. That hour includes time for me to settle everyone in and set up their needles, then 40 minutes of relaxation, followed by time for me to take the needles out.
You’ll be sitting down for the entire session. The treatment will start with me inserting five sterilised single-use disposable acupuncture needles into your outer ear, at five specific points:

Sympathetic – calms the nervous system and helps with overall relaxation.

Shen Men / “Spirit Gate” – reduces anxiety and nervousness.

Kidney Point – for calming fears and healing internal organs.

Liver Point – for detoxification, blood purification, and to quell aggression.

Lung Point – promotes aeration and helps clients let go of grief.

Is a technique associated with acupuncture. Application of ignited moxa (Artemisia Vulgaris) is used to warm acu-points for regulating Qi and increasing blood circulation.
It is also the method of choice for turning breech babies and stopping dysfunctional uterine bleeding.
A small electric current is passed between pairs of acupuncture needles. This technique can augment the use of regular acupuncture, and is particularly good for treating pain.
Is a therapy of gentle pressure by placing a vacuumed cup or jar onto the affected area and acts like a deep massage by encouraging blood circulation.
